@thushara and others with the same problem of not being able to switch months, this worked for me:

In ec_js.class.php (line 286 & 300 for me), change

ecd.jq.get("/index.php",

to

ecd.jq.get("/index.php",

Probably something to do with the site's setup - but such a frustrating problem. Hope this saves others searching for hours like I did.

If anybody still needs a fix for widgets dragging-and-dropping and the whole sidebar JS in post editting, here's what you have to do:
Open file /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar/events-calendar.php then go to the line #155, it should be "$inadmin = strstr($svr_uri, 'wp-admin');" and replace it with "$inadmin = strstr($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'], 'wp-admin');". Thats all.
The problem here is that the variable $svr_uri which I guess should contain current URI is empty, so I replaced it with original predefined variable $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] (I think $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] should also work). So now the script indicates if we are in admin section or not. If yes, it doesn't enque the JS which caused the problem.
I hope this will be fixed in next release.
Cheers! ;)

When EC is activated, I cannot drag widgets to the sidebars. If I deactivate EC, the widgets drag and drop as they are supposed to. That's the only problem I've encountered so far with the 6.6-beta. I'm using WP v2.8.6.

Thank you for making an effort to produce an enhanced version of your calendar plugin. Your previous version (pre WP 2.8) worked well.

You have a great vision for what people want in this plugin, unfortunately it's been many months since significant progress has been communicated - or when a new release might be made available.

Have you considered just putting it into the open source realm to help move development along and offer support for people willing to pay? You might be surprised how many would pay - but I understand that puts additional pressure/development to keep it revised and up to date.

Have you considered removing the download link until further development has been completed so people understand development has halted?

BUG REPORT:
when events calendar is active, when editing a post, the javascript that toggles add category and other links when editing a post does not work, it is only when this plugin is activated this problem occurs, hope this helps, rock on.
